From time to time the East Joliet Fire Protection District hires part-time Firefighter/Paramedics and Firefighter/EMT-Basics if staffing is needed. In order to apply the applicant must be an Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshall certified Basic Operations Firefighter, must have a current State of Illinois Paramedic or EMT-B License, a valid State of Illinois class B-non CDL Drivers License, and if hired must test into the Silver Cross EMS System if not already part of the Silver Cross System. Those interested in an application can come in to station 51 Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30am - 3:00pm.
