APPARATUS 1970'S TO 1990'S
 
Delivered in 1970 this 1969
International/John Bean incorporated a
1000 G.P.M. pump and a 600 gallon
water tank.
Engine 531 a 1972 Ford / John Bean
carried 500 gallons of water and had a
1000 G.P.M. pump.
Rescue 534 was used by personnel to
respond to rescue calls. This 1974 GMC
was custom built by Veto Enterprises of
Joliet.
Tanker 527 was a 1975 F.M.C. built on a
International-Harvester chassis. It carried
1500 gallons of water and had a 350
G.P.M. pump.
Delivered in May 1976 this Pierce / Hendrickson Telesquirt had
500 gallon water tank and a 1250 G.P.M. pump. Receiving the
keys from District President Leonard Crowder is Chief Klint
Brush 528 was built up by department
members using a existing F.M.C. skid
mounted drop-in unit with a 10 G.P.M.
pump and 100 gallon water tank mounted
on a 1979 Ford chassis.
A 1979 G.M.C., 588 was used to
answer rescue calls from station one
and was also used as a multi-purpose
transportation vehicle.
Delivered in March of 1982 this Peter
Pirsch engine built on a 1981
Hendrickson chassis carried 600 gallons
of water and had a 1250 G.P.M. pump.
Tanker 537 was built on a 1979
G.M.C. chassis by W.S. Darley in
1983. It carried 1500 gallons of water
and had a 350 G.P.M. pump.   
Squad 536 was a Stahl body mounted on a
1980 G.M.C. chassis. It housed a 7500 watt
generator, tools and a Amkus rescue tool for
auto extrication.
Rescue 524 was built on a 1983
G.M.C. chassis by Monroe Truck and
Body Co. of Joliet. It responded to
rescue calls from station two.
Tanker 517 was built on a 1987 Ford chassis
by W.S. Darley Co. of Melrose Park Il. It
carries 1500 gallons of water and has a 350
G.P.M. pump. It was delivered to the
department on Feb. 23, 1988 and is still in
service today at station one.
Engine 521 was a 1986 Ford / Darley with a
750 gallon water tank and a 1250 G.P.M.
pump. It was donated to the WILCO career
center 12/21/2006.
Engine 531 is a 1989 Ford / Darley with a
1250 G.P.M. pump and a 750 gallon water
tank. This apparatus is still in service
operating as engine 511 out of station one.
